VILLE PLATTE – A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Friday, January 10, 2020, for Henry Frank Crooks, 73, who passed away on January 7, 2020 in Ville Platte, LA surrounded by his loving family.
Father Blake Dubroc will conduct funeral services.
Inurnment will take place at Lafayette Memorial Park at a later date.
Henry Frank Crooks was born in Alexandria, LA to William and Myrtle Nugent Crooks. Frank was a proud veteran of the United States Army having fought in Vietnam. He was active in Civil War reenactments. He was a craftsman in leather having made saddles, repaired saddles, and was able to craft many ideas out of leather. Leather work was not only a hobby but a passion. He was a member of the Louisiana Master Horseman Program and a former member of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Posse. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He leaves his family with many cherished memories.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Loretta Crooks; daughter, Jill Crooks Ardoin and husband Kevin of Lafayette; son, Jason Crooks and partner Jared Deselle of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Julia Ardoin, Kaleb Ardoin, and Joshua Ardoin; sisters, Myrtle Dantin of Pineville, Mary Virginia Mosely of Pineville, and Helen Fazio of Deridder; and brothers, William Crooks, Jr. of Baton Rouge, James Crooks of Dry Prong, and Michael Crooks of Slidell.
He is preceded in death by his parents William and Myrtle Nugent Crooks.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A rosary will be recited at 2:00 PM before funeral service. Visitation will resume after service until 4:00 PM.
